Saint Dnyaneshwar explains that a person who has transcended the ego and lost the sense of bodily identification becomes truly free. Their consciousness is perpetually anchored in divine knowledge. Any action performed by such a realized soul is done as an offering (Yajna) to the divine, without any personal motive. Consequently, the fruits of such actions do not bind them; instead, the actions dissolve entirely into the light of wisdom.

In daily life, perform your duties without the 'I am the doer' attitude. For example, while working in an office, focus on the quality of work as a service rather than just seeking personal praise or rewards.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar explains that a person established in self-knowledge performs all worldly duties naturally, yet remains untouched by them. This is because they have transcended the egoistic notion of 'I am the doer.' Just as the sun illuminates the world and enables all activities without being the actual performer of those deeds, the wise person allows the body and senses to act according to their nature while remaining a detached witness. Their actions do not create any karmic bondage because the sense of individual agency is absent.
