In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes the importance of overcoming mental illusions. Arjuna is paralyzed by his attachment to his kinsmen, which Dnyaneshwar describes as being 'deceived by feelings'. He explains that these emotions are mere 'Kalpana' (imaginations) that cloud judgment. By urging Arjuna to 'start the fight', he is metaphorically asking every seeker to fight against their inner weaknesses and perform their worldly and spiritual duties without being swayed by temporary emotions.

When faced with a difficult task, we often let fear or attachment stop us. This verse teaches us to set aside those mental barriers and focus on our responsibilities. Example: A student overcoming the fear of failure to start studying for a tough exam.

Shri Krishna, through the words of Saint Dnyaneshwar, advises Arjuna to overcome emotional confusion and perform his duty as a warrior.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar illustrates the equanimity of a realized soul. Just as the ocean remains undisturbed and stays within its boundaries despite the massive and forceful influx of various rivers, a person of steady wisdom remains unperturbed by the sensory desires or external circumstances that come his way. The ocean's vastness allows it to absorb everything without losing its inherent nature; similarly, a wise person remains anchored in the Self, regardless of worldly gains or losses.

Maintain inner peace regardless of external successes or failures. Example: If you achieve a major milestone, stay humble; if you face a setback, stay resilient and calm like the ocean.

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains the stability of a person with steady wisdom (Sthitaprajna) using the analogy of an ocean.

Dnyaneshwar Maharaj emphasizes that the actions of great leaders or wise individuals serve as a blueprint for the masses. If the 'Samartha' (capable/wise) performs righteous actions, the common people follow suit. This verse highlights the social responsibility of the enlightened to lead by example rather than just preaching. It aligns with the principle that 'action speaks louder than words'.

In a corporate setting, if a CEO follows ethical practices and punctuality, the employees naturally adopt those values. Leading by example is more effective than giving instructions.
