Without self-discipline, a seeker is 'robbed' of their inner peace and higher consciousness.

In modern life, if one cannot resist the constant distraction of social media (sensual object) while working, their productivity and mental peace are 'robbed'.

Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna the consequences of not controlling the senses.

In this 6th Ovi of Chapter 4, Saint Dnyaneshwar captures the moment where Krishna addresses Arjuna's logical confusion. Arjuna was puzzled how Krishna, a contemporary, could have taught the ancient Sun-god. Krishna assures Arjuna that He will reveal the secret of His divine nature and births, which will silence all doubts. This verse emphasizes the importance of a Guru or the Divine in clearing the intellectual hurdles of a seeker.

In daily life, when faced with confusion about complex truths, one should seek clarity from authentic sources rather than harboring doubts. Example: Seeking a mentor's advice when confused about career choices.

ज्ञानेश्वरीच्या या पहिल्या ओवीत संत ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज गणेशाला वंदन करतात. येथे गणेश म्हणजे केवळ एक देव नसून ते 'शब्दब्रह्म' किंवा 'परब्रह्म' आहेत. 'आद्या' म्हणजे जो सर्वांच्या आधी अस्तित्वात आहे. 'वेदप्रतिपाद्या' म्हणजे ज्याचे खरे स्वरूप केवळ वेदांच्या अभ्यासातून समजते. 'स्वसंवेद्या' म्हणजे ज्याला बाह्य साधनांनी नाही, तर केवळ स्वतःच्या अनुभवानेच ओळखता येते. ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज म्हणतात की हा गणेश म्हणजेच आपले 'आत्मरूप' आहे.

कोणतेही नवीन आणि मंगल कार्य सुरू करताना ईश्वराचे किंवा आपल्या अंतरात्म्याचे स्मरण करावे. उदाहरण: परीक्षेला जाताना किंवा नवीन व्यवसायाची सुरुवात करताना शांत चित्ताने स्वतःवर विश्वास ठेवून सुरुवात करणे.
