In practical life, whenever you are paralyzed by indecision, seek the truth and gather facts. For instance, if you doubt your ability to complete a project, gain the necessary skills and information; this knowledge will automatically remove the doubt and give you the confidence to act.

In the concluding verses of the fourth chapter, Krishna (through Dnyaneshwar's commentary) urges Arjuna to slash through the confusion of the mind using the sword of self-realization.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes that self-realization (Atma-bodha) is the ultimate purifier. When a seeker eliminates doubt through wisdom, their consciousness becomes clear and untainted. Such an individual performs actions in the world but remains untouched by their karmic consequences, much like a lotus leaf remains dry in water. The 'bonds of karma' only exist as long as there is ignorance and doubt regarding one's true nature.

In professional life, when you work with absolute clarity of purpose and without internal conflict, the results do not cause mental stress. For example, a doctor who operates with full knowledge and focus is not burdened by the anxiety of the outcome, as they are established in their duty and knowledge.

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains how the realization of the Self dissolves the attachment to the fruits of action.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar describes the omnipresence of the Divine Reality. He asserts that the source from which this entire universe originated and the power by which it expanded is the same principle that pervades everything. Just as ornaments made of gold are essentially gold, the entire creation is permeated by the Supreme Consciousness. There is no part of this universe where that Divine principle does not exist.

Recognize the divine presence in everyone and everything. For example, treating nature and fellow human beings with respect because they are manifestations of the same supreme energy.
