In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar describes the state of 'Samadhi' or spiritual absorption. When the 'Sattva' quality dominates the mind due to divine proximity or knowledge, the ego and the conscious effort to control one's emotions dissolve. Sanjaya, the narrator, experiences such an intense surge of pure emotions (Ashta-sattvika bhava) that his intellectual and physical capacity to restrain himself is completely overwhelmed by divine bliss.

This describes a state of flow or peak experience where one is so immersed in a higher purpose or divine feeling that self-consciousness disappears. Example: A musician becoming one with the music, losing all sense of time and surroundings.

As Sanjaya narrates the divine dialogue of the Bhagavad Gita to King Dhritarashtra, he becomes so overwhelmed by spiritual ecstasy that he loses his mental composure.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes the eternal nature of the Atman (Soul). He advises Arjuna to stop worrying about the physical death of his kinsmen because the true essence of a being is never subject to destruction. By saying 'Mārijēnā' (cannot be killed), he reinforces the Vedantic truth that while the body is perishable, the soul remains untouched by weapons or death. This realization is meant to provide Arjuna with the mental strength to perform his duty without emotional attachment to the physical form.

This teaching helps in developing resilience during times of loss. It teaches us that our core identity and values are beyond physical harm. Example: When facing a major life setback, instead of grieving over what is lost, focus on the indestructible strength of your character and spirit to move forward.

Lord Krishna, through the words of Saint Dnyaneshwar, explains the indestructibility of the soul to Arjuna to alleviate his grief.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar uses the metaphor of the sun to explain the state of non-doership (Akarta-bhav). Just as the sun's presence causes all activities on Earth to happen without the sun itself claiming to be the doer or being affected by them, a wise person performs all necessary duties. Their actions flow naturally from their being, but they remain free from the egoistic notion that 'I am the doer.' This detachment from the results and the ego of action is the core of spiritual liberation while living in the world.

In professional life, one should focus on the excellence of the task at hand rather than letting success inflate the ego. Example: A leader who guides a team to success but attributes the achievement to the collective effort rather than their own 'doership' embodies this principle.
