In daily life, to succeed in any task, one must withdraw the mind from distractions like social media or unnecessary entertainment. By mastering the senses, our focus improves, and our decision-making becomes more stable and effective.

Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna the necessity of controlling the mind and senses to achieve a steady intellect (Sthitaprajna).

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes the concept of 'Swadharma' (one's innate duty). He argues that an individual should strictly adhere to their own responsibilities. Even if performing one's duty appears challenging or arduous compared to someone else's seemingly easier path, one must persist. Following another's path (Paradharma) is spiritually distracting. A professional should focus on their specific role with integrity rather than trying to mimic someone else's career path just because it looks easier. Example: A doctor should focus on healing patients even if the hours are long, rather than switching to a field they aren't suited for just for convenience.

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains the necessity of adhering to one's own duty (Swadharma) even if it seems difficult, following the Bhagavad Gita's teaching.

Saint Dnyaneshwar illustrates Arjuna's profound realization that material prosperity is not a cure for spiritual distress. Arjuna acknowledges that the grief he feels is so intense that even the highest possible worldly or celestial achievements are futile against it. This highlights the limitation of material success in solving existential crises and points towards the necessity of spiritual wisdom.

Material success is not a substitute for mental peace. Example: A person might have a successful career but still feel empty inside if they haven't addressed their emotional well-being.
