💡 Meaning

Therefore, Arjuna, observe that this Consciousness (Soul) has no destruction at all, even at the end of the universe.

🔍 Deep Interpretation

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes the indestructibility of the 'Chaitanya' (Pure Consciousness). He instructs Arjuna to realize that while the physical body is subject to change and decay, the underlying spiritual essence remains untouched even at the end of a 'Kalpa' (a cosmic cycle). This philosophical insight is intended to remove Arjuna's delusion and grief regarding the death of his relatives in the battlefield, shifting his focus from the transient body to the eternal soul.

🎯 Practical Application

In daily life, this teaching helps in overcoming the fear of death and loss. Example: Just as deleting a file from a screen doesn't destroy the data in the cloud, the end of a physical form doesn't mean the end of the essential self.

📌 Context

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains the eternal nature of the soul while commenting on Lord Krishna's discourse to Arjuna.

💡 Meaning

Therefore, whatever a great person does, the world accepts as a standard; and common people follow that same path.

🔍 Deep Interpretation

Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes the concept of 'Loksangraha' (social cohesion). He explains that the actions of leaders and influential figures serve as a benchmark for the masses. If a leader acts with integrity and follows Dharma, the common people naturally follow suit. This places a heavy moral responsibility on those in power or with knowledge to act righteously, not just for their own liberation, but for the guidance and betterment of society at large.

🎯 Practical Application

In a corporate setting, if a CEO practices punctuality and transparency, the employees are likely to adopt the same values. Example: A teacher's behavior directly influences the character and habits of their students.

📌 Context

Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna that a wise person must act righteously because their actions set a precedent for the entire society.

जेथे अर्जुना हे (विषय) दिसत नाहीत, तेथेच खरे सुख असते; म्हणून सज्जन लोक विषयांच्या संगतीचा स्वीकार करत नाहीत.

साधुजनां Noun

💡 Meaning

O Arjuna, where these sensory objects are not perceived, there alone lies true bliss; therefore, wise people do not indulge in the company of sensory pleasures.

🔍 Deep Interpretation

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes that true happiness is not found in external sensory objects but in their absence. When the mind is free from the constant craving for sight, sound, taste, and touch, the inherent bliss of the soul manifests. Wise individuals (Sadhus) understand that sensory pleasures are temporary and often lead to bondage; hence, they consciously avoid getting entangled in them to maintain their inner peace.

🎯 Practical Application

In modern life, we are constantly bombarded with notifications and desires. Practicing 'detachment' from these distractions helps find mental clarity. Example: Choosing a moment of silent reflection over mindless scrolling on a smartphone leads to deeper satisfaction.

📌 Context

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains the difference between fleeting sensory pleasures and the eternal bliss of the self.
