Only such a person, whose intellect is unshakeable and heart is void of attachment, is truly wise.

In daily life, true discipline is achieved when you are no longer tempted by a habit even in your thoughts, rather than just avoiding it due to lack of opportunity.

Saint Dnyaneshwar describes the ultimate state of a Sthitaprajna (a person of steady wisdom) who has transcended all mental desires.

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains that doubts are born from ignorance and act like a dense forest that obstructs the path of truth and right action. This 'forest of doubt' prevents a person from seeing reality clearly. To overcome this, one must use the 'sword of knowledge' (Atma-jnana). The verse emphasizes that once spiritual or factual clarity is achieved, the confusion vanishes instantly. It is a call to action for the seeker to stop hesitating and use wisdom to clear their path.

When faced with uncertainty in life, instead of worrying, seek complete information and understanding. For example, if you are confused about a complex project at work, gaining the necessary skills and knowledge (the weapon) will remove the confusion (the forest) and allow you to proceed confidently.

In the concluding part of the fourth chapter, Shri Krishna (through Dnyaneshwar Maharaj) urges Arjuna to destroy his inner confusion using the power of wisdom.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar highlights the transition from theoretical knowledge to practical wisdom. Krishna invites Arjuna to listen attentively to the method of performing actions without attachment. This is described as a 'marvelous' path because it allows an individual to remain active in the world while staying spiritually free from the bonds of karma.

Focus on the process of your work with interest rather than just worrying about the result. For example, while playing a sport, focus on the technique and the joy of the game rather than just the final score.

After explaining the theoretical knowledge of the soul (Sankhya), Shri Krishna begins to introduce the practical path of action (Buddhi Yoga) to Arjuna.
