In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes the transformative power of self-realization. He argues that doubt is a byproduct of ignorance. When the light of true wisdom (Jnana) enters the mind, it occupies all space, leaving no room for uncertainty. Just as darkness cannot coexist with light, ignorance cannot survive where there is absolute clarity of the self.

In practical life, confusion arises from a lack of information. By seeking the truth and gaining deep knowledge of a situation, we eliminate hesitation. For example, a student who has mastered a subject enters the exam hall without the 'doubt' of failure because their knowledge has removed the ignorance of the subject.

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains that the dawn of knowledge leaves no room for doubt or ignorance.

Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes the concept of 'Loksangraha' (guiding society). He argues that influential individuals have a moral obligation to act righteously. Since the masses tend to imitate their leaders, any lapse in the leader's conduct can lead to social degradation. Thus, a 'Samartha' (capable person) must be exemplary in their actions to ensure the common people follow a righteous path.

A leader in an organization must exhibit the values they want their team to adopt. For example, if a CEO practices transparency and punctuality, the entire company culture naturally aligns with those values.

Shri Krishna explains why the wise and powerful must perform their duties diligently to set a standard for society.

Sant Dnyaneshwar emphasizes that doubt is the most heinous sin because it acts as a silent destroyer of one's potential and spiritual growth. While other sins might have specific remedies, a mind clouded by doubt loses the very capacity to seek truth or perform right action. It leads to total ruin (Vinasha) because it severs the connection between the individual and their inner faith or the divine guidance.

In professional life, indecision caused by self-doubt often leads to missed opportunities. For instance, an entrepreneur who doubts their vision will fail to inspire their team, leading to the project's failure. Overcoming doubt with conviction is the key to progress.

In the concluding part of the fourth chapter, Sant Dnyaneshwar explains the perils of doubt (Samshaya) which prevents a seeker from attaining knowledge.
