In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes that capable and enlightened individuals must adhere to the path of righteous action. Even if they have attained self-realization and have no personal desires left, they must continue to perform their duties meticulously. This is because the common masses look up to them and emulate their behavior. If a leader abandons action, it leads to social disorder and lethargy. Therefore, for the welfare of the world (Lokasangraha), the wise must lead by example.

A teacher should always be punctual and disciplined because students observe and follow their behavior. Leading by example is the most effective way to guide others in any professional or social setting.

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains why wise leaders must perform their duties to set an example for society.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar explains the mechanics of self-realization. He states that as long as the intellect is clouded by ignorance and the mind is entangled in a web of doubts, one cannot perceive their true identity. However, when ignorance is dispelled and the bonds of doubt are severed, the seeker effortlessly attains their true self-nature. The destruction of doubt is presented as the essential prerequisite for spiritual liberation.

In daily life, to achieve any significant goal, one must act with absolute conviction rather than hesitation. For example, instead of doubting your capabilities during a project, focus entirely on the execution to ensure success.

In the concluding part of the fourth chapter, Dnyaneshwar Maharaj emphasizes the destruction of doubt through the sword of knowledge.

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes the importance of mental stability and clarity. He advises Arjuna not to be misled by worldly illusions or emotional confusion regarding life and death. By asking him to let the 'Vicharu' (right thought) stabilize in his 'Chitta' (consciousness), he points towards the state of 'Sthitaprajna'—a person of steady wisdom who is not shaken by external circumstances.

In daily life, when faced with overwhelming emotions or conflicting choices, one should pause and return to core truths. Example: If a student is anxious about results, they should stabilize their mind with the thought that they have worked hard and the outcome is a learning step, rather than being paralyzed by fear.

After explaining the nature of the soul and the body, Saint Dnyaneshwar (as Krishna's voice) tells Arjuna to stop being confused and let the truth settle in his heart.
