Their conduct becomes the 'Pramana' (standard) that defines social norms. If leaders act with integrity, the masses follow; if they are negligent, society degrades. Thus, performing one's duty is not just a personal obligation but a social service to maintain order and morality.

Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna that the actions of a wise leader serve as a template for society, and therefore, they must act responsibly.
