It is the transition from seeing the world as a separate material entity to seeing it as the manifestation of the one Supreme Truth.

In daily life, we often suffer due to misconceptions or lack of information. By seeking the truth and gaining correct knowledge, we can overcome unnecessary worries. For example, realizing that a shadow is just a shadow and not a ghost removes fear instantly.

Saint Dnyaneshwar defines the nature of true spiritual realization and how it dispels the illusion of the material world.

Saint Dnyaneshwar illustrates that although desire (Kama) appears invincible and overwhelming, it can be subdued through the power of refined intellect (Buddhi). He employs the metaphor of a mirage—a visual illusion of water in a desert. Just as the illusion of a flood in a mirage vanishes once the reality of the sun's rays hitting the sand is understood, the illusory grip of worldly desires loosens and disappears when the light of spiritual wisdom and discrimination shines through the intellect.

When faced with a strong temptation or an impulsive urge, use your rational mind to analyze its temporary nature. For example, if you feel a sudden urge to procrastinate, use your intellect to remind yourself of the long-term peace that comes from completing your tasks on time.

In the concluding part of Chapter 3, Shri Krishna explains to Arjuna how the intellect can be used to overcome the powerful enemy known as desire (Kama).

In this verse, Dnyaneshwar Maharaj emphasizes that the masses look up to leaders and influential figures for guidance. Instead of interpreting complex scriptures, common people observe the lifestyle and choices of those they respect. If a leader acts with integrity and follows their duty, the society naturally moves towards righteousness. This places a heavy moral responsibility on those in power to lead by example, as their conduct becomes the benchmark for social behavior.

In a workplace, if a manager is punctual and honest, the employees naturally adopt those values. Leaders must lead by example to create a positive culture.
