In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar elucidates the paradox of Karma Yoga. Usually, actions bind an individual to the cycle of cause and effect. However, when the same actions are performed as a sacrifice (Yajna) or with the realization of non-doership, they become the very tool to dissolve those bonds. This 'skill in action' is the secret path shown to Arjuna, where one remains active in the world yet spiritually free.
