In this verse, Dnyaneshwar Maharaj highlights the transcendence of the Guru's true form. He explains that the ultimate reality or the Guru's essence is beyond the reach of human language, intellectual reasoning, and even the subtle mind. It is a state of pure consciousness that can only be experienced through silence and surrender, as the tools of human perception are insufficient to grasp its totality.

In daily life, we often try to over-analyze spiritual experiences. This verse teaches us that some truths are felt in silence rather than through logic. Example: When experiencing deep peace during meditation, instead of trying to define it, simply being in that state is the goal.

Saint Dnyaneshwar praises the divine and indescribable form of his Guru, Shri Nivrittinath, at the beginning of the Dnyaneshwari.

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains that doubt is not a superficial issue but is rooted deeply in ignorance. As long as one remains ignorant of the true self and the nature of reality, doubts will continue to gain strength and paralyze action. To overcome this, one must employ 'Viveka'—the faculty of discernment. Dnyaneshwar uses the metaphor of a sharp weapon to describe Viveka, suggesting that only a sharp, focused, and analytical mind can cut through the confusion of the ego and uproot the fundamental ignorance that causes doubt.

In daily life, when faced with uncertainty regarding your goals or self-worth, do not let doubt fester. Use logical reasoning and self-reflection (Viveka) to identify the source of your fear and eliminate it. For example, if you doubt your ability to complete a project, use discernment to break down the task and address each concern with facts rather than fear.

In the concluding verses of the fourth chapter, Shri Krishna advises Arjuna to slash the doubt in his heart with the sword of knowledge. Dnyaneshwar Maharaj elaborates on this by emphasizing the role of Viveka (discernment).

Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes that an individual should not decide their course of action based on subjective mental whims (Manodharma). Often, our mind leans towards what is pleasant rather than what is right. One must set aside personal biases and follow the 'Uchit Karma' (prescribed duty) as defined by ethics and scriptures. True wisdom lies in abandoning personal ego and desires to fulfill one's righteous obligations.

In a professional environment, if a person feels lazy (mental whim) but has a deadline to meet (duty), they should prioritize the duty over their personal feeling to ensure ethical conduct.
