💡 Meaning

Therefore, O Arjuna, know that person to be of steady wisdom whose mind is firmly stabilized in its true place.

🔍 Deep Interpretation

In this verse, Saint Dnyaneshwar emphasizes that true spiritual maturity is reached when an individual's consciousness is no longer scattered by external sensory objects. Just as a tortoise protects itself by withdrawing into its shell, a wise person withdraws their senses from worldly distractions. This internal stability leads to a state of 'Purnaprajna' (perfect wisdom), where the person remains unaffected by the dualities of life like joy and sorrow.

🎯 Practical Application

In modern life, this teaches emotional intelligence. For example, when facing a high-pressure situation at work, instead of reacting impulsively, one should maintain mental balance and act with a calm mind.

📌 Context

Saint Dnyaneshwar explains the characteristics of a person with steady wisdom (Sthitaprajna) as described by Lord Krishna.

🔍 Deep Interpretation

The term 'Jhakavije' suggests that Arjuna is being deceived by his own emotions and false sense of attachment. Krishna advises him that 'Chinta' (worry) is an obstacle to 'Dharma' (duty). By telling him to fight 'quickly', Krishna emphasizes that once the truth of the soul is understood, there should be no delay in taking righteous action. It is a call to move from paralysis of analysis to decisive action.

🎯 Practical Application

When faced with a difficult decision or a daunting task, one should stop overthinking and focus on the immediate duty. Example: A student feeling overwhelmed by exams should stop worrying about the results and start studying diligently.

📌 Context

Lord Krishna urges Arjuna to abandon his mental confusion and perform his righteous duty as a warrior.

The key is to perform these actions with a disciplined mind ('Manodharma'), without being swayed by personal desires or the anxiety of results. This alignment of action with righteousness is the essence of Karma Yoga.

🎯 Practical Application

In professional life, if you are assigned a task, focus on completing it with integrity and excellence rather than constantly worrying about the promotion or bonus. This 'duty-first' approach reduces stress and improves quality.

📌 Context
