At Paripath, accessible from https://paripath.in, and via our official Android mobile application distributed on the Google Play Store, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy document describes how we collect, record, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect & Device Permissions

If you register an account, log in using Google Authentication, or use our mobile application, we collect the following information:

  • Personal Identifiable Information: Your full name, email address, and profile photo URL provided during Google/Firebase sign-in. We also collect optional user-profile settings (e.g., student grade level, school name, role, and interests).
  • Transaction Metadata: Subscription payments or pay-per-download purchases via Razorpay securely process transactions. We do not store or process your credit card numbers, CVVs, or Net Banking credentials on our servers. All payments are handled by Razorpay.

Mobile Application Permissions:

Our Android app requests the following system permissions to enable specific features:

  • Location Permissions (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Used strictly to determine the nearest geographical region to display localized daily weather information on the Blackboard view. Weather calculations are processed locally or via API, and location data is never saved, tracked, or shared.
  • Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send daily morning school assembly content, educational alerts, and news updates. You can toggle this permission off at any time in system settings.
  • Storage/Camera Permissions: Used to capture, generate, and save the virtual blackboard image to your local device gallery when you use the capture screen feature.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services We Use

Our website and mobile application utilize secure third-party SDKs and services for authentication, analytics, advertising, and payment processing. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. These third parties may collect or record data according to their own privacy policies:

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You have full control over your data. If you wish to delete your account and remove all personal records (such as name, email, school profile, and bookmarks) permanently, you can request account deletion by emailing us at [email protected]. We will process and complete your deletion request within 7 business days.

6. Children's Privacy

Paripath is an educational platform designed for schools, teachers, parents, and students. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 without parental or teacher consent. If you believe your child has provided personal information without proper authorization, please contact us, and we will take immediate steps to remove such data from our servers.
