According to the India Meteorological Department, the rainfall intensity is expected to increase in Maharashtra due to a western disturbance and low pressure in the Arabian Sea. Red and orange alerts have been issued for 18 districts including Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, Nashik and others for the next 48 hours effective from July 27.
